The Walt Disney Company and Miral, the leading developer of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, have announced a deal to establish a landmark Disney theme park resort in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This waterfront resort will be situated on Yas Island, a premier destination for entertainment and leisure that connects visitors from the Middle East and Africa, India, Asia, Europe, and beyond. As the seventh Disney theme park resort, it will blend Disney’s iconic stories, characters, and attractions with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant culture, stunning coastlines, and impressive architecture.

The new resort will be entirely developed and constructed by Miral. Disney and its renowned Imagineers will spearhead the creative design and manage operational supervision to deliver a top-tier experience. Miral, known for developing various family entertainment spots on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in partnership with American and European brands, will oversee the resort's operations.

The UAE is situated within a four-hour flight of one-third of the global population, establishing it as a crucial gateway for tourism. It hosts the world's largest airline hub, with 120 million passengers passing through Abu Dhabi and Dubai annually.
Once finished, the new theme park resort will feature distinctive Disney entertainment, themed lodging, exclusive dining and shopping experiences, and storytelling that honours Disney's heritage while embracing the futuristic and cultural spirit of Abu Dhabi.
