New name for the 'Cars' land in the Magic Kingdom

Disney have announced that the new name for the 'Cars' land in the Magic Kingdom will be Piston Peak. This land will continue the sweeping storytelling tradition that has crossed Liberty Square and Frontierland since opening day.
Venturing into New Frontiers at Magic Kingdom
From the inception of Magic Kingdom, daring visitors have journeyed through space and time as they move from Liberty Square to Frontierland. They begin with architectural styles inspired by upstate New York and colonial America in Liberty Square, then proceed to a delightful concert among the North Woods, make a stop in New Orleans at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and conclude their adventure at the Arizona bluffs of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Central to these tales are heroic characters whose self-belief paved the way to their dreams. Continuing this legacy of American storytelling, Piston Peak National Park will feature in the largest expansion ever in the history of Magic Kingdom.
Welcome to Piston Peak National Park
Envision a stunning wilderness featuring towering trees, snow-covered mountains, magnificent waterfalls, roaring rivers, and striking geysers. Although fictional, Piston Peak draws inspiration from the Rocky Mountain region, as well as the history and iconic landmarks of the American Frontier and its national parks.
Within Piston Peak, visitors can explore the visitor lodge, Ranger HQ, trails, and more, all situated in the Disney and Pixar “Cars” universe. To ensure these structures blend seamlessly with the stunning surroundings, Imagineers are employing a style of architecture known as “Parkitecture.” This approach was developed by the National Park Service to design buildings that complement the natural environment.
Externally, trees will serve as a natural barrier, separating the off-road rally from other areas of Frontierland and Liberty Square. Rugged mountains with striking peaks will be situated beside a tranquil waterway opposite Grizzly Hall, while the towering geysers of the renowned Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will extend into the paths of our off-road rally.
Cruising Just Around the Bend
This summer, as activities ramp up, the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat will close starting July 7. Beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Imagineers are diligently creating the first land inspired by Disney Villains, featuring two major attractions, dining, and shopping, all on an impressively grand and twisted scale.
However, that's not the only excitement at the Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is set to reopen next year with added enchantment. Later this summer, Disney Starlight will make its grand debut on July 20, illuminating the streets of Magic Kingdom, while The Beak and Barrel will invite pirates of all ages.
